Abstract:Through the experimental method, the damping characteristics of the damper with different mixed type of particles are analyzed. First a test device was built, by taking a simply supported beam mounted with a particle damper as the research object. A vibrator exerted sine force to simply supported beam, its acceleration response was measured by using acceleration sensor. Test results show that different mixed kinds of particle damper can effectively restrain the system resonance peak, the resonance region of the beam has obvious damping effects. Different mixed type of particle has different damping effect, the mixed type of 4 (Ф4、Ф6、Ф8、Ф10)has the best damping effect, and of 5 (Ф4、Ф6、Ф8、Ф10、Ф12)has the worst.
