Aimed at the special condition of the city buses operation, a new type of hydraulic energy storage type braking energy recovery system was designed and developed. The composition and working principle of the brake energy recovery system was introduced, and the main components of the hydraulic system parameters were analyzed and matched. Finally, by the bench and vehicle refitting test, the results show that the design of the new hydraulic energy storage type braking energy regeneration system improved the braking energy recovery rate under the premise of safety operation, has positive effect on fuel economy improvement of automobile.
