A brief introduction about the dry DCT was made. Theoretic analysis of both the engagement rule of a single clutch and the cooperation of two clutches were made. The simulation model was built by using the software of EASY5 to analyze the engagement process of a single clutch, and the characteristic curves of transmission torque and piston displacement of the clutch under different control strategies were obtained. At the same time, by the experiment platform test, the accuracy of the simulation model was verified. Shift qualities were compared under different control strategies. The results show the effect of variable speed cooperation is better than that of constant speed cooperation, which provides the bases for the design of control rules and strategies of DCT in the future.
