The braking system of a shiplift was introduced. The braking hydraulic system simulation model was built by using AMESim and the model was used to analyze the factors which influenced the synchronization for the brake on or loose. The simulation curves were gotten under different disc spring stiffness, hydraulic pipe length and size. The results show that the brake system can realize the multibrake synchronization, consistent with the actual results.
