Abstract:In order to solve the aircraft nose landing gear shimmy problem,installation shimmy damper is a reliable and effective measure.Using magnetorheological fluid as the working medium can achieve the damping force adjustable and controllable.Based on the equivalent viscous damping coefficient of a UAV aircraft noes landing gear,a kind of differential pressure shear model magnetorheological shimmy damper was designed.Firstly,Maxwell finite element software was used to simulate and optimize the magnetic circuit.Secondly,the shimmy damper was installed on the fatigue machine for testing.The results show that the damping performance meets the design requirements,and the damping force is adjustable and controllable.
