Abstract:In order to compare the dynamic pressure effect of the laser surface textured mechanical seal(LST-MS) structure with spherical, circular and cylindrical grooves, the fluid dynamics analysis models of the three different cavity micropores were established by using UG modeling software. The three kinds of cavity micropores were simulated by the fluid dynamics tool Fluent. The results show that under the same working conditions, the dynamic pressure effect can be obviously improved by increasing the rotational speed, increasing the medium viscosity, reducing the seal clearance under the prerequisite of ensuring the seal ring noncontact, and the ratio of depth diameter between 0.07 and 0.1 was chosen. The cylindrical grooves have greater dynamic pressure effect, and it is the best choice to take the cylindrical grooves as the slotted form of LST-MS.
