Selection and management of cutting liquid are important to machining and rust protection of parts, maintenance of machine tools, environment and sanitation of workshop, and production cost. To solve current management problems of cutting liquid existing in Liugong company and make improvements via practice, enterprise standard was established to specify cutting liquid selection procedure, technological test, regular management and minimum performance requirements. Experiments were carried out to optimize cutting liquid types and concentration, by which production cost was effectively reduced.
