Abstract:A three dimensional (3D) solid model of the hydraulic hoist cylinder was established in Solidworks software. In the platform of finite element analysis (FEA) Simulation module, the hydraulic cylinder structure was integrally analyzed under the operating conditions that hydrodynamic piston shaft was fully-extended and the maximum pressure was reached 18 MPa in the closed gate, and was verified in relation with the engineering technical standards. The analysis results show that the intension design of hydraulic cylinder is safe and reliable, and the rigidity and stability are up to the design standard. The integrated FEA method based on working device not only greatly reduces the difficulty of computation and analysis, but also improves the accuracy of calculated result. This method provides a theoretical basis for further structural optimization and design improvement.
