Abstract:Among luminaries, such as moving head lights, the light spot cutting system is an indispensable functional unit. Aiming at the structural shortcomings and patent protection of the present symmetrical drive cutters, a new cutting-imaging system in a vector movement way was designed. The system was composed of 10 stepper motor axles, the aperture could be adjusted automatically, each spot cutter was controlled in a vector way by two axles, so the four cutters could cut light spots with any shapes. The structure of the system was flexible and swift, it can generate rich spot shapes by synchronization control. The system’s structure characters, circuit parameter computing, track of pattern and synchronous motion control were emphasized. The developed system has applied to many kinds of moving head lights and excellent results are obtained.
