Abstract:In order to reasonable design tolerances for axes of machine tool, accuracy synthesis on linear axes of traditional machine tool is researched by using the method of combining compensation coefficient and value analysis method. Firstly, the calibration and compensation of the x、y、z linear axes for the CNC machine tool were carried out, and the compensation coefficients for each error were obtained according to the compensation effect. Secondly, the value analysis method was improved by combining compensation coefficient and the value analysis method, and accuracy synthesis of x、y、z linear axes of the machine were researched. The results indicate that: the design range of tolerance can be wider at a certain extend by the proposed method for accuracy synthesis, even increased by about 50% than empirical value, and hence the manufacturing cost of machine tool is reduced. The proposed method can be developed for accuracy synthesis analysis of rotation axes, and also suitable for that of other type of machine tool.
