The traditional stretch forming technology for skin parts was introduced, and a new flexible gripper stretch forming technology based on reconfigurable forming die was proposed. The forming principle, structure composed, technology advantage of the reconfigurable forming die and the flexible gripper stretch forming machine self-developed were expounded, flexible stretch forming technology process of skin parts was discussed, spherical pieces and saddle shaped pieces stretch forming experiment were carried out by reconfigurable forming die and the flexible gripper stretch forming machine, the experiment results were performed, the feasibility and practicability of device were validated through the experiment. 
