Abstract:As a high efficiency ultraprecision machining technology,Electrolytic InProcess Dressing (ELID) mirror grinding is widely applied in high accuracy machining of hard and brittle materials YG8.Three kinds of cemented carbides were selected as workpiece materials and the experiments were conducted by using nozzletype ELID grinding system installed on precision surface grinder.The variation of the grinding force with grinding process parameters:The output voltage,pulse frequency,pulse duty ratio,grinding wheel speed,the feed speed of table,grinding depth was analyzed.Meanwhile,under the same grinding parameters,the grinding force of nozzletype ELID grinding and ordinary grinding were compared.The results show that nozzletype ELID grinding can significantly reduce the grinding force,and nozzletype ELID grinding can realize the high quality grinding for YG8.
