By analyzing the existing products and the intellectual property rights of radial piston pump, the international development states of radial piston pump was reviewed and the deficiencies appeared in the development of radial piston pump technology were summarized and analyzed. The transmission system and the oil assigning system, which are the main structures of radial piston pump were studied. Both of the transmission system and the oil assigning system were classified, and the working principles of theirs were demonstrated. Combining with the products of worldrenowned manufacturers of hydraulic components, the key issues and its solutions in the designing of radial piston pump were reviewed.
