Abstract:Since existed of heavy workload, imprecise, not intuitive, and other shortcomings by utilizing the traditional methods to verify movement of the working device of excavator and optimize structure of excavatorbucket, therefore a kind of Virtual Prototype Technology (VPT) was proposed. Kinematics simulation of the work device of an excavator was made by adopting the VPT, and all kinds of kinematics parameters of that excavator were obtained in the practical work. The rationality of the design was validated by analyzing the results. By taking the main working part of excavatorbucket as the research object, the finite element analysis (FEA) of it was carried out by using the simulation. According to the bucket static strength analysis results, the defect bucket can be found out, and corresponding optimization schemes are proposed, which meet the job requirements finally.
