The rotating accuracy of spindle on machine tool is an important accuracy parameter. It possesses many influence factors and complex action rule. According to the structure characteristic of spindle system, a general model for rotating error of spindle was established. By applying this model, the action rule and superimposing effect of which the source errors influenced rotating accuracy were analyzed. By making the lathe spindle as an example, the modeling and analyzing method for rotating error of spindle were introduced. Visualization of the trail of the rotating spindle center is realized by software programming.
