Abstract:In order to investigate the optimum processing parameters of the flow field in bearing grinding machine,numerical simulation was operated on the condition of different pressure intet and under the same inlet pressure but different percentage of the vapour phase by using FLUENT software.Results show that when the inlet pressure ranges from 03 MPa to 08 MPa,flow field presents the optimum working pressure,and less decrement of flow velocities,which facilitates grinding operation in return.On the other hand,when the inlet pressure higher than 08 MPa,the velocity decrement will be intensified along with the increasing inlet pressure. Therefore it is suggested to keep the inlet pressure lower than 08 MPa,which improves the grinding efficiency in practice.With the same inlet pressure,the break phenomenon of flow field will happen together with the percentage increment of abrasive vapour phase,thus for the purpose of improving the efficiency of grinding machine,it is suggested to reduce the percantage of the vapour phase in the abrasive stuff.Experimental results demonstrate that a better surface finish of workpiece can be ensured by optimizing those machining parameters.
