A kind of porous closed hydraulic buffer was proposed based on work principle of hydraulic buffer sets. The speed of the piston was declined steadily and speedily by continuously changing the total throttle area of the liner for the function of buffering in process. A mathematical simulation model of the buffer was built, and was simulated in the working process of the buffer by AMESim software to obtain pressure curves for buffer cavity,piston displacement and velocity curves. The simulation results confirme that the hydraulic buffer can very well satisfy the requirements of practical application.
