Abstract:Cr12MoV as a general die steel, wire cutting processing parameters are the main factors affecting the material removal rate and surface roughness.By changing the electric parameters of WEDM, processing performance of Cr12MoV was researched. The results show that with the increase of pulse on time, material removal rate increases, but at the same time, the surface roughness increased; peak current has same influence on material removal rate and surface roughness; with the increase of pulse off time, material removal rate decreases, but it doesnt have significant influence on the surface roughness and when it for 25 microseconds to reach the minimum of surface roughness; when gap voltage increased, surface rough degree reduced and it has little effect on the material removal rate.
