Abstract:A complex transmission mechanism which can convert rotary motion to linear motion is needed in the mechanical press driven by rotary motor which structure is complex, so a press driven by linear motor was proposed. Desktop serial structure, frame structure and reinforcement structure which were commonly used in the press driven by linear motor were studied, and the key technology of linear motor technology, reinforcement mechanism, heat dissipation and magnetic separation technology, forming process optimization and energy recovery technology were analyzed. The results show that the slide can be driven by linear motor to do reciprocating linear motion in the press driven by linear motor which has the advantages of simple structure, high productivity, energy conservation and environment protection, and the fast response ability and control precision of the system can also be improved.
