Abstract:A wireless control system of spherical mobile robot was designed. STC89C52 singlechip microcontroller unit (MCU) was the core of the system which included driver chip of the motor, nRF24L01 wireless communication module and buttons, and etc. The control terminal was communicated wirelessly with the robot by nRF24L01 chip. The control terminal sent the orders, the robot received and executated the orders, and then the motion status of spherical mobile robot was controled by control terminal. The robot could be moved to all directions and changed speed for the specific road conditions under the control of control terminal. Finally, the physical prototype was created in a laboratory, and it could be controled wirelessly. This system of the robot is easy to modify and extend, with very strong flexibility and practicality.
