Abstract:100% low floor light rail vehicle is a transportation form which is developed very rapidly in urban rail transit systems.Due to its structure with low floor,the space underneath is narrow,so 100% low floor light rail vehicle has to use hydraulic braking system,which has smaller volume.The research on the widely used 100% low floor light rail vehicle braking system which was consisted of 2M1T was carried out.On the basis,the scheme of braking system was proposed,the braking system was modeled by using AMESim software.Then full service braking and emergency braking in overcrowding load condition were chosen to be simulated and analyzed.The correctness of the scheme was verified by simulation results.The simulation results can provide reference for research and development of 100% low floor light rail vehicle braking system.
