Abstract:The slider of bending machine can usually produce upward elastic deformation in the process of bending workpiece, which will cause uneven pressure distribution between the molds, and affect the bending precision, so the slider rigidity analysis is very important. The strain electrical measuring technology combining with FEA method was adopted to test and calculate the deformation of the slider of a certain type bending machine, and the results of experiment and simulation were compared to verify the correctness of the FEA model. Based on this, the modification design for the slider was investigated by taking the height and thickness as the design variables. The study results show that the modified design will obvious improve the rigid of the slider when the thickness of the slider is increased 20 mm, and the height is increased 100 mm at the same time.
