Abstract:To improve the grinding wheel spindle flexibility and vibration resistance, so as to ensure its static and dynamic performances, the analysis and design for the grinding wheel spindle have important practical significance for grinding operation. Through analyzing the principle and structure of the grinding wheel spindle, on the basis of the classical grinding theory and finite element theory, the plane grinding model was built with the basic knowledge of design of machinery, material mechanics, theoretical mechanics, the grinding force parameters were determined, then the specific sizes of the grinding wheel spindle were designed. Through the finite element software, the strength and stiffness analysis were operated. The results show that the designed grinding wheel spindle is meet the requirements of strength, stiffness. This research provides basis for the study of dynamic characteristics of the grinding wheel spindle.
