The network architecture including TCPU PLC master station, ET200S distance station and HMI touch screen was built for a hydraulic press control system for vessel head based on processing requirements of hemisphere vessel head.The scheme used in this control system was discussed. The designs of speed control in center slider working cylinder and pressure control in active crossbeam working cylinder were illustrated. All the motions of hydraulic press for vessel head, center slider, active crossbeam and other assistant motions were controlled according to the technological requirements through the field data analysis and processing by PLC master station.
