Abstract:A 2 dimensional (2D) electrohydraulic proportional valve was designed, which used a small thrust proportional electromagnet as electromechanical converter, the pressure torsion coupling as transmission actuator, and had spool position feedback function. Based on the analysis of the valve structure and working principle, the noload valve flow characteristics and the characteristics of the input and output characteristics of the pressure torsion coupling were studied experimentally. The results show that displacement hysteresis loop of pressure torsion coupling of the valve is about 7.4%. When the system pressure is at 21 MPa, the flow of the valve hysteresis loop is about 5.4 %, indicating that the 2D electrohydraulic proportional valve has a good proportional feature.
