Abstract:32 mmnominal connecting rod electric hammer was chosen as an research object. First a mathematical model of pneumatic system of electric hammer was established based on basic knowledge of kinematics and aerodynamics. Combining of the mathematical model and computer aided engineering (CAE) simulation model of pneumatic system of electric hammer, theoretical data of hammer motion were determined. And then the experimental data of hammer motion were acquired from high speed video and ProAnalyst analysis software, which indicated a good agreement with theoretical data. Finally, the impact energy of output end of electric hammer was obtained through building and analyzing CAE simulation model of impact system which includes hammer, anvil and bit. The finally obtained impact energy is also close to the nominal energy of electrical hammer on the market, which provides an important basis for old product improvement and new product development of electric hammer.
