The system principle and energy loss of hydraulic control system for a fire robot were introduced. In order to reduce energy consumption, an improved scheme of pumpcontrol direct drive hydraulic control system of fire robot was put forward in which servo motor was served as prime mover. An preliminary analysis of working principle and energy consumption to the improved scheme was made.It indicates that the improved scheme not only saves energy but also reduces component count and system complexity, and it is beneficial to reduce cost.
