Abstract:Position control with high speed and high precision is one of the most important research topics in modern manufacturing industry. A motion control card based on digital signal processing (DSP) was developed for implement accurate position control of multiway motors. A multiaxis motion control card based on DSP was developed, and it was an experimental platform which integrated in one unity of teaching, application programming, research and development. The motion control card was designed based on TMS320F28335 as the core of control, and there were expanded plenty of function modules in its periphery system, such as the address decode module based on computer programmable logical device (CPLD), the encoder feedback module based on field programmable gate array (FPGA), the motor control module based on digital to analog converter (DAC), and so on. The system was of high completeness, reliability, scalability and maintainability. On basis of highspeed computational ability and motor orientated high efficient control ability in view of the TMS320F28335, the motion control algorithm was embedded, so accurate position control of motors could be fulfilled. Appling the motion control card in the course experiment, in the specialized design and in the graduation project and innovation activities of teaching in the machineelectronic engineering speciality, there is a significant improvement in the study interest and the practical ability in implement engineering projects of the students.
