Over quadrant error is easy to appear when round contour workpiece is milled on CNC machining center, causing marks on the surface of the circular arc,then machining accuracy and surface quality are affected. Taking VMC850 series machining center equipped with FANUC system as the test object, the changes of the quadrant error were compared under different conditions.The test data were analyzed,and the corresponding optimization methods were obtained. It provides reference for reducing the quadrant error of CNC machining center and improving the machining accuracy of CNC machine tools.
