Abstract:Material’ s properties have important effect on parts of product of remanufacturability. In order to select materials scientifically and objectively in design for remanufacture, a multi-attribute decision making method of material selection based on Dempster-Shafer evidential reasoning is proposed. Focused on demand of remanufacturability, a multi-attribute decision making hierarchical model of material was constructed, which took density, mechanical properties, remanufacturing process, economy and environmental performance as evaluation indexes. Using Dempster-Shafer evidential reasoning theory, the multi-attribute decision making hierarchical model of material was transformed into a unified evaluation form. Furthermore, the comprehensive evaluation index was gotten to select the optimal alternatives. Finally, a case study of material selection of engine cylinder block validates the effectiveness of this method.
