Abstract:The flow field in a mixed-flow pump under the design working condition is simulated numerically with the RNG k-e turbulence model. The efficiency-flow curve, liftflow curve and power-flow curve were extracted from the results, and numerical simulation was considered to have a very high accuracy after comparing the computing results with the test data whose error was less than 2%. The computational results show that: The pressure on the pressure surface of both impeller and blade is big than the pressure on the suction surface, the pressure on the blade increases from the inlet to the outlet, and the pressure on the vane increases from the root to the tip, which provide the basis for optimization of mixed-flow pump through the dynamic performance curve forecast and internal flow analysis.
