Abstract:The automobile drive-axle commissioning station, an important station along the assembly line, is a location at which workers exhibit symptoms of neck and shoulder discomfort. Using the DELMIA simulation software, we evaluate the rapid upperlimb assessment (RULA) score of the current working posture to determine its risk. To overcome this risk, a scheme that improves operation is proposed and simulation software is used to verify its effect. The results indicate that the upper arm and neck posture is improved and the risk of job strain is reduced by increasing the lifting step. The application of DELMIA allows for the quantification ofvthe complex and abstract process of postural assessment, which makes the process more intuitive and data analysis more scientific.
