Abstract:For the strength problem of armature component assembly with press fit, according to thickwalled cylinder theory, the contact stress calculation method of pressfit assembly with multilayer cylinders in the elastic range was reduced, and the contact stress of each contact surface of armature component assembly with press fit was calculated, then the pressmounting force range of armature component was obtained. The pressfit process of armature component was simulated by the numerical software ANSYS Workbench, then the pressmounting force range was obtained. Comparing the calculation results with the simulation results, it was shown that the maximum deviation between the calculation results and the simulation results was under 5%, so the simulation results were qualitative verified. 24 kinds of armature components selected randomly were assembled by using pressmounting device developed. Comparing the experimental results with the simulation results, it was shown that the maximum deviation between the experimental results and the simulation results was about 2.1%, so the simulation results satisfied using requirements for predicting the strength of armature component assembly with press fit.
