Abstract:Tuned mass damper is widely used in highrise structure vibration control.In order to improve the effect of the vibration damper, based on the requirement of safety, the equivalent quadratic performance index was established;based on improved genetic algorithm,the optimal installation position of the TMD damper was gotten,so as to improve the vibration reduction effect of TMD damping system.Finally the optimization significance was verified through simulation experiments.Also some conclusions are: for structural vibration control of tower drum,not only loworder modes should be controlled,but also high order torsional vibration modes should not be ignored.
