Abstract:For the interference of the discharge end face clearance on the internal flow field characteristics of the balanced twinscrew compressor, based on the combination of SCORG and PRO/E software, the compressor fluid model that can fully consider the actual discharge end face clearances has been constructed, and its highquality algebraic grids was performed. Based on this, CFX was used to carry out the accurate numerical analysis of the internal flow field characteristics for a fluid model of the balanced twinscrew compressor with three different discharge end face clearances. The variations of pressure distribution, velocity distribution, and discharge pressure pulsation with discharge end face clearance were obtained. The obtained results can provide important theoretical support for the clearances optimal design and engineering application of the balanced twinscrew compressor, and it has important reference significance for the optimization research of the structure and performance of the balanced twinscrew compressor.
