Abstract:For the actual situation that 6061 type aluminum alloy processing surface quality was bad, cutting chip winded in the processing process, on the basis of bionic tribology theory, ANSYS Workbench simulation software was used to study the friction stress condition between cutter and chip. At the same time, with the help of micro texture carbide (WC-Co, YG8) cutter, cutting aluminum alloy experiments were made to study the influence of different size and structure characteristics of the micro texture on aluminum alloy chip morphology. The results show that the ladder shape micro texture cutter diameter is 65 μm and the cutter depth is 15 μm, the maximum frictional stress between cutter and chip decrease by 21.8%, serrated chip control is good, the tooth drops by 52.5%, the shear Angle drops by 31.6%, serrated angle drops by 9.5%. There are two kinds of branched chips of slender and thick trees, which are well controlled. At the same time, it is found chip morphology seriously affect the processing surface quality with micro texture cutter, good chip morphology lowers the Mosaic stick welding probability between cutter and chip, reduces the amplitude and frequency in the processing, makes the processing more smoothly, gets good machining surface quality.
