Abstract:The camless engine technology has the advantages of improving fuel efficiency, output power and reducing internal combustion engine emissions. For this reason, a new type of electrohydraulic camless engine valve actuator (EH-CEVA) was designed. AMESim & MATLAB cosimulation was used to research the dynamic characteristics and operational performance of the EH-CEVA. Based on the prototype test platform, the EH-CEVA experimental research was carried out, and the test results were compared and analyzed with the simulation results. It is indicated that the AMESim model can accurately simulate the dynamic characteristics of EH-CEVA. The system has good response and stability, and can realize the realtime control of valve timing, valve lift and duration, and meets the engine work needs.
