Abstract:China has become the largest industrial robot application market for five years, accounting for about one third of the world's market size. While the industrial robot industry is booming, it must be clearly recognized that due to the lack of relevant technical standards and sound standard system, the quality of industrial robots cannot be effectively guaranteed, more than 60% of the domestic market share is occupied by foreign brands. Therefore, research on standardization of industrial robots is urgently needed. By adopting the Verman three dimensional (3D) structure model ideology, three level standard system framework was constructed for industrial robots, the main problems were analyzed, and the construction ideas were put forward from four aspects. This study is helpful to speed up the pace of standardization and to promote the healthy and rapid development of industrial robots industry with practical significance in China.
