Abstract:With features of super high hardness and strength,lower thermal conductivity and flexibility, the cutting tools is broken down frequently when female thread was processed using titanium(Ti)alloy. And it’s difficult to apply the optimal method successfully due to kinds of influence factor, especially for micro-dimension part. Electric discharge machining, usually called EDM for short, is a skilled craft in female thread machining for kinds of conductive material. By analyzing the instance of M2 in dimension of Ti alloy TC4 machined by EDM, the key technic through the machining 〖JP2〗process including electrode dimension, electric discharge parameter and accuracy control method was acquired. Accordingly,〖JP〗 the machining path of small dimension female thread of titanium alloy of EDM was ascertained.The conclusion is gotten from the instance that high efficiency, low cost and reliable quality are features of this work.
