In order to realize the green and high efficiency manufacturing of Numerical Control (NC) Machine tool, the orthogonal cutting test of No45 steel is carried out with the aim of low cutting power, low roughness and high material removal rate. The cutting power and workpiece surface roughness value of machine tool under different cutting parameters were collected. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was applied to the fuzzy orthogonal optimization of turning parameters, and the optimal cutting parameters were obtained. Cutting power prediction model and the surface roughness prediction model were established, and the test was carried on for optimizing the parameters of the cutting experiment, and compared the results with experience value and predicted value. The results show that the optimized turning parameters can effectively improve efficiency, reduce energy consumption and surface roughness.
