In order to meet the speed and precision requirements of plastic press, the design of hydraulic systems and selection of hydraulic components were focused on. The passive four-corner leveling hydraulic control system was designed. Four leveling cylinders with high response servo-proportional valves were arranged in corners to keep the ram stable and reduce the collision impact with a pre-acceleration. Three strategies of leveling system were presented and a simple analysis to them was done. In order to realize the function of leveling, the AMESim simulation was carried based on PID compound control algorithm.
