Abstract:A set of automatic drilling equipment control system for the carrier rocket frame ring based on Siemens 828D numerical control(NC) system is designed to drill holes on the side of the carrier rocket frame ring and to open pore on the surface of the short shell. The control system was mainly composed of 828D NC system, S120 servo drive, servo motor, frequency converter, spindle motor and grating ruler, which realized full-closed loop drive control, greatly improved the efficiency, precision and quality of drilling and opening. At the same time, the circular interpolation between the rotary axis B and the linear axis Y was realized by applying the cylindrical transformation function of 828D NC system so that the hardware cost of the equipment was reducing effectively. After commissioning and application, it shows that the automatic drilling efficiency of equipment is 15 pieces/min, and the automatic opening efficiency is 10 minutes/piece.
