Electric power steering control is the basic control strategy of EPS system.According to the requirement of stability and rapidity of EPS system, a simulation model based on MATLAB/Simulink is established by dynamic equations of each part of EPS system.A simulation comparison is made between the conventional PID control and the PID control based on the particle swarm algorithm.The simulation results show that the PID control strategy based on particle swarm optimization can improve the EPS control effect, the system response time is fast, the robustness is good, and the stabilization time is short. It provides a theoretical basis for achieving the stability and rapidity of EPS.
