Abstract:Based on the generalized Reynolds equation, a cylindrical sliding bearing model of starved lubrication is established. The influence of sliding bearing entrance oil film thickness on poor lubrication properties was analyzed. The numerical results show that: oil supply condition affects bearing parameters obviously, such as oil film convergence area, the bearing capacity and other parameters, when the load and the speed are constant. The oil film thickness in the bearing area, the end discharge and the effective bearing area of the bearing zone of the bearing increase with the increase of the oil film at the entrance, and the bearing eccentricity and the starting angle of the oil film decrease with the increase of the oil supply at the entrance.
