In the design process of a giant robotic arm,virtual prototype technology based on Pro/E,ADAMS and ANSYS platform was adopted.The dynamic and static mechanical calculation was made.In order to ensure the operation safe and reliability of the equipment,the dynamic stress test for the giant robotic arm was carried out,the stress distribution of the main structure in the movement process was analyzed.The test data are close to the simulation calculation results with ADAMS/ANSYS platform,determining the strength security of the giant robotic arm.It is proved that the joint simulation technical route based on Pro/E,ADAMS and ANSYS platform has a strong extension for the special large complex mechanical equipment research and development.
