Abstract:Aiming at the problem that the spraying path generated by existing slicing method is not uniformly sprayed at the edge of the curved surface,a method of split planning for uniform spraying path based on the point cloud was proposed. This method was based on the surface point cloud model.Firstly, the principal component analysis method (PCA) was used to construct the curved outer bounding box.Based on the main slice generated by the outer expanded bounding box,the surface was divided into a series of single curved surfaces,so that each single surface was corresponded to a spraying path, the single curved surface was divided into a series of monolithic curved surfaces by sub-slicing,so that each monolithic curved surface was corresponded to a spraying path point to generate the spraying path. The simulation shows that when the expected coating thickness is 25 μm,for the regular edge surface, the coating thickness error obtained by the split method is 4.33 μm,which is 77.09% less than the slice method, and the standard deviation of the coating thickness is 081,which is 74.37% less than the slice method; for irregular edge surfaces, the coating thickness error obtained by the split method is 4.03 μm,which is 77.42% less than the slice method; the standard deviation of the coating thickness is 0.76,which is 73.15% lower than the slice method. The splitting planning method is suitable for the spraying path planning of regular and irregular edge curved surfaces. The uniformity of the coating at the edges is better than that of the slicing method, achieving uniform spraying on the edges of the curved surface.
