Abstract:The microscopic non-homogeneous structure of SiCp/Al composites makes their wear mechanism more complex than that of traditional homogeneous materials, and the tribological properties of the composites vary under different working conditions and heat treatment states. Therefore, a ball-surface contact dry sliding friction wear experiment was conducted on SiCp/2024Al composites to investigate their tribological properties under different heat treatment conditions and sliding rates. The results show that the heat treatment has a significant effect on the mechanical and tribological properties of the composites, and the solid solution + artificial aging state composites have higher strength, hardness and wear resistance;the sliding speed affects the surface contact properties and wear degree of the composites, and the friction coefficient and wear volume increase gradually with the increase of the sliding speed;with the increase of sliding speed, the main wear mechanism of composites changes from delamination wear to abrasive wear, and the change of wear mechanism obviously accelerates the wear of composites, which should be avoided in practical applications.
