Abstract:The optimal feed rate and high precision control algorithm processing method for 5-axis machine tool were introduced and verified by experiments.5-axis feed rate scheduling algorithm was introduced to minimize tool bending time.The speed,acceleration and jerk limits of the 5-axis drive were considered when searching for the optimal feed along the tool path,to ensure that the servo driver ran smoothly and linearly with minimum tracking error.In order to design an accurate contour controller,an analysis model was developed to estimate the contour error in the real-time process of 5-axis machining.Two types of contour errors were defined by considering the normal deviation between the tool tip and the reference path and the normal deviation between the tool axis direction and the reference direction trajectory.
