Green manufacturing is necessary for sustainable development, and the green manufacturing evaluation is a powerful guarantee to the implementation of green manufacturing. In this paper, the necessity of building green manufacturing evaluation system is elaborated, and the green manufacturing evaluation index system is established. Using the method of DEA to study the case of nine copper smelting enterprises in China can provide the reference for enterprises to improve operating mode of the traditional manufacturing. 
