Abstract:In order to realize weight-reduction design of high-speed horizontal machining center bed, topological optimization model based on ICM method was proposed with a view to minimize the mass of the bed. The 2D and 3D topology weight-reduction design for the bed were respectively given, and manufacturability process for the design results and the simulation model of the bed after optimization were given. Static and dynamic performance analyses for the new bed were given based on finite element method (FEM). The results show that the weight of the new bed reduces 13% than the old bed in premises of the new bed with good static and dynamic performance, which can realize the weight reduction design of the machining center bed.
